Project Overview: Parking Lot Paving in Wisconsin

On November 14, 2024, TriNorth Builders completed a 200-cubic-yard concrete pour reinforced with REGEN Fiber E-Flex 500 and rebar at a large Midwestern utility in Wisconsin. The project’s contractors described the fiber-reinforced concrete as easy to work with and finish. Made from 100% recycled materials, the reinforcement fibers also brought a sustainability boost to the project.

  • Location: Wautoma, WI
  • Date: November 2024
  • Volume poured: 200 cubic yards
  • Fiber used: E-Flex 500
  • Dosage: 4 lbs/cubic yard
  • Finish: hand-held bull float followed by broom finish
  • General contractor: TriNorth Builders
  • Concrete supplier: Lycon Inc.

Concrete was mixed in the truck at the plant. Fiber was added to the premixed concrete via a conveyor system.

The crew reported no negative impact on the concrete’s workability.

Placement and Pumping

When it came time to place the concrete, the mix flowed smoothly through the pumping equipment without any clogging. The concrete was described as “buttery and creamy” by the workers on-site. During finishing, the E-Flex 500 fibers did not stick up at the surface. The pump operator was pleased with the material, noting that no cleaning was needed mid-process, a rare occurrence with fiber-enhanced concrete.

This paving project in Wautoma, WI showed that REGEN Fiber is not only a sustainable choice — it’s a practical one. The fiber mixed easily at the plant, pumped on-site without issue, and delivered a smooth finish without fibers balling up or sticking up at the surface.

For builders seeking a durable, user-friendly, and environmentally responsible alternative to traditional macrofibers, REGEN Fiber proves that you can go green without compromising on performance.
